Overview
HProxy (hproxy.com) sells residential proxies from $0.44 per GB, together with ISP, datacenter, IPv6 and mobile proxies and ready-made web scraper APIs. Its customers are companies, developers and agencies that route requests through real IP addresses in more than 200 countries. The service is run by Obsidian UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a registered German company based in Herford.
The residential network
The core product is a rotating residential network: household IP addresses that can change on every request or stay fixed in a sticky session. Pricing starts at $0.50 per GB and falls to $0.44 per GB from 2,000 GB. A Residential Premium tier at $1.49 per GB adds targeting by state, city and internet provider (ASN), sessions of up to 24 hours and priority routing, for targets that check more than the country.
The rest of the catalogue
Around it sits a catalogue for other jobs. ISP proxies cost $0.65 per GB rotating, or $2.50 per IP for a week as a static address registered to a consumer internet provider; that upstream network passes ports 80 and 443 only. Datacenter proxies are $1.34 per IP for a week and are the fastest product in the range, with a median of 115 Mbit/s and 33 ms measured across HProxy's own fleet. IPv6 proxies start at $0.10 per IP for a week or $0.12 per GB and reach IPv6-enabled destinations only. Mobile proxies, from carrier networks, cost $1.50 per GB and carry the highest trust level. The web scraper APIs start at $1.49 per 1,000 calls, cover 116 scrapers on 23 platforms, and charge nothing for errors or timeouts.
Billing and API
Billing is prepaid. There is no subscription, no minimum contract and no monthly platform fee: a customer tops up a balance and spends it per GB of traffic or per IP address, the balance does not expire, and volume prices apply automatically. Every product speaks HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5, with authentication by username and password or by an IP allowlist, and everything in the dashboard is also available over a REST API, so provisioning, rotation and usage reports can run without a person in the loop. Support answers by email and live chat.
Free tools
HProxy also gives some of its work away. Its free proxy list (hproxy.com/free-proxy-list) is checked around the clock and shows HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxies with country, anonymity, latency and uptime on every row; it comes with a keyless API and an MIT-licensed copy on GitHub. For AI agents, HProxy MCP is a hosted MCP server at mcp.hproxy.com/mcp, free and without a key, with three tools: a proxy list, a proxy check and an IP lookup. It is listed in the official MCP Registry as com.hproxy/mcp.
Typical uses
Typical uses are price and competitor monitoring across regions, search result verification and rank tracking, ad verification, market research on marketplaces, social media management from consistent addresses, testing systems the customer owns, and brand protection. HProxy is sold for lawful work only: attacks on infrastructure the customer does not own, fraud and credential stuffing end in an immediate account block, and abuse can be reported at hproxy.com/report-abuse.
