Overview
StarTap is a free startup directory with a clicker game. What if Product Hunt and Cookie Clicker had a baby? Makers can submit a website, and visitors can discover independent products through public project pages and category browsing. Each project has a Visit link that takes people to its website.
How the game works
Choose a project and tap the 3D star to earn Stars for it. Unlock Sources that generate more Stars automatically. Daily and all-time project leaderboards show the rankings, giving visitors a playful reason to explore products and return to their favorites. Stars are game points with no cash value.
For makers
Sign in and submit your website to create a public project page. Share the page with people who want to learn about your product or play for it. Submission is free. StarTap offers a place to be discovered; it does not promise traffic, sales, investment, or a particular ranking.
For visitors
Browse categories, open project pages, and follow Visit links to explore products. You can try the game as a guest without signing in. Product discovery and the game work together: find something interesting, then tap and unlock Sources for the project you choose.
Pricing and access
StarTap runs in a web browser. Playing and submitting a project are free. Makers sign in to submit a website; guests can try the gameplay without creating an account.
